Already using Reshoot on one machine? This adds another one
to the same account, so everything the two of them do counts together.
You do not need another invite code.
On the new computer
1 Install Reshoot
Copy the line for whichever system the new computer
runs, paste it in, and press Enter. It installs under your own user account
and needs no administrator.
Press ⌘ Space, type Terminal, open it, then paste.
Linux
curl -fsSL https://reshoot.ai/install.sh | sh -s -- --join
Paste into a terminal.
Still on the new computer
2 Read the six digits
When it finishes, the Reshoot window opens and shows
six digits, above the words this machine is waiting to be let in.
Leave that window open.
4 2 9 7 1 6
The digits stop working after a while. If they expire,
the window quietly shows you new ones — nothing is broken.
On the computer you already use
3 Let it in
Open Reshoot there, click Add another computer,
and type the six digits. It shows you the name of the machine asking —
check that you recognise it, then click Approve.
That last check is the point of the whole thing: you are
approving a computer you recognise, not a number. A code somebody else hands
you will name a machine that is not yours.
That is all. The new computer joins your account,
its switch starts off like every other machine, and nothing runs until you
turn it on.
Lost the account entirely — the
computer that held it is gone? That is what your twelve recovery words are
for, and they go into a fresh install, not into this page. Reshoot never asks
for them anywhere else, and nobody at Reshoot has a copy.
